It's midterm season once again which explains why I haven't posted in forever. So..here are some songs that have helped me in the awful paper writing-and-notecard-making process. the videos are kind of cool, too.




Also: it snowed tonight, the second time this year. hollaaaaa. I finally got around to watching Julien Donkey Boy-and I thought Gummo was weird!?

I watched this awesome movie with Adrian, Caleb and John. This would make a really great drinking film. There are too many flashbacks and Rosie O'Donnell is almost always eating a doughnut.

found a job

I got a job! Finally. After nearly five months of half-assed searching, I have a job! This is kind of weird to write about, because my former employers know I have a blog. How they found out is a bit odd: I had to write an article about on-campus dining, so naturally I wrote about where I worked. It is a convenient restaurant and cheap*, so of course I would feature it in a project. I suppose I should let you know that the project was for a print journalism class and "producing" the article had a blog option so I just posted it here. Long post short, one of my managers told me he had read my blog. Which kinda freaked me out. I mean I didn't even tell them about the assignment and... I write about periods and shit. Really?

So anyway, I have a job, another restaurant gig-not what I had originally set out for but I am stoked nonetheless. I now work at Yesterdays, for all those soda city kids who read this blog (all four of you..). I start this weekend wowee zowee.

Another interesting thing that happened this week: apparently John Mayer has been rehearsing at the Carolina Colosseum for an upcoming tour, which is also where a few of my classes are. Today I got to hear him rehearse. I unknowingly attended a free John Mayer concert and since there was a ton of reverb and mumbling, it was almost awesome! I just pretended this was 2003-2004ish and enjoyed the set.
