boston trouble

John just got a new cat, Boston Trouble. The name is definitely appropriate: within five minutes of meeting Boston, he ate some of my ice cream, pizza and beer-without asking!

Next week, we will train him to jump through hoops of fire.

a lesson in procrastination

Not long ago, I promised a friend a set of these cards. They were made but never actually mailed. Instead, they just sat in my desk for well over two months, waiting for the day Dana would drop them off at the post office.

Last week we had an exterminator come and wreak havoc on our German cockroach infestation (no really, you kids ever seen Creepshow?)-as well as our belongings. The cards, covered with a thick, toxic film of god-knows-what, were not ruined but definitely unfit to send out. If I had just mailed the stationary in the first place. . .

So here is the tile I am mailing in leau of scat cat greeting cards. I hope it is sufficient enough. I mean, I think it would fit nicely in the kitchen or hall of a home, don't you?

house show

some peekchas (courtesy of Adrian) from the house show we had last weekend with Say Brother, Dream Diary and Mermaids. A sweaty and awesome time-a definite summer highlight. There are some Polaroids floating around my bedroom but I'm just too l a z y and technologically inept to scan 'em. Soon. They also gave me this really cool shirt that I need to take in/hem/do something to because it's absolutely massive on me.

After everyone went home, some of the Mermaids watched Jurassic Park while the rest of us just rolled around laughing until daybreak. That rug is so comfortable.
