WUSC is holding it's semi-annual fundraiser this week. The theme: Spring Break Mix Tape. DJs are encouraged to play what they might on a road trip or during spring break. ...so basically what the DJ already plays on his/her show; but since the NO TOP 40 rule still applies I cannot bust out my Bananarama or Ace of Base. Damn.
I think I'm just going to review previous high school mixes and run with it. So yeah, lots of Doolittle-era Pixies , old-school Grandaddy and Jesus & Mary Chain. Plus, like, 57 Beat Happening songs because-honestly-they're all I ever listen to during long car rides.
Any requests?! My show is Saturday afternoons two-four pm and you can webstream it.
The highest donor for my show will get a handmade thank-you card and mix tape!
